I have installed Mint 9 on my Dell Inspiron n and it does seem to recognize galf my network nor my wireless card. OK, so i tried something similar to this: I have a HP Compaq nc, my hardware identifier was [14e4: This worked for me as well.
I skipped over I still have to manually start the wireless driver with the terminal.
